Chidambaram en-route to court amidst high security

New Delhi, Aug 22 (UNI) Security arrangements have been stepped outside the Central Bureau of Investigation headquarters while measures like water cannons and extra barricading have been put in place , from where the Former Finance minister P Chidambaram is being taken to be produced at the CBI court in the INX media case.
Secuirty has also been stepped up at the courts complex where the former Finance Minister will be produced.
He was quizzed by the probe agency on Thursday morning , the sources said.
Chidambaram's legal team and family is said to be present at the court where he will be produced.
Mr Chidambaram was taken by the CBI with appropriate security arrangements in view of avoiding any kind of untoward incident.
He was arrested on Wednesday night from his Jor Bagh residence amidst high voltage drama as large number of Congress workers had thronged the place in support of their leader who even tried to block the way of the officials who were to take Mr Chidambaram, however were made to give way by the police.
Prior to his arrest , the senior Congress leader had addressed the press from the AICC. As per sources, the former Finance Minister has been arrested on an arrest warrant issued by a competent court.
