Chhetri brings back Bengaluru to victory trail with 1-0 win over East Bengal

Barasat, Jan 30 (UNI) Striker Sunil Chhetri's second half goal today brought Bengaluru FC back to victory trail with 1-0 triumph against city giants Kingfisher East Bengal in the 5th round play of Hero I-League at Barasat stadium today. The all important goal was scored in the 60th minute when India's captain Sunil Chhetri pushed the ball from his right thigh of an aerial ball from RinoAnto.
Chhetri surged ahead of defender EB Rahul Beckey and beatgoalkeeper TP Rehenesh.
This was Chhetri's second goal in I-league this season.Minutes before Rehenesh valiantly repulsed a grounder from Chhetri, who was live-wire in the attacks of the visitors. The win earned the former champions full three points and Bengaluru FC consolidated the lead to 12 points from five games and East Bengal conceded first defeat in five games remained on 8 points.
