Chhattisgarh reports 2011 fresh Coronavirus cases, 5 deaths

Raipur, Oct 24 (UNI) As many as 2011 fresh COVID-19 (Coronavirus) positive cases were detected in Chhattisgarh during the last 24 hours, taking the tally to 174591 on Saturday.
Besides, 5 patients infected with Coronavirus died in various hospitals, pushing the COVID death toll to 1793 in the state so for. Moreover 272 patients were discharged from various hospitals after recovery.
According to information received from health department, out of 2011 fresh Coronavirus positive patients maximum 204 belong to Korba whereas 140 patients were found in Durg, 175 in Raigarh, 169 in Raipur, 140 in Durg, 119 in Rajnandgaon, 51 in Balod, 22 in Bemetara, 42 in Kabirdham, 50 in Dhamtari, 35 in Baloda-Bazaar, 31 in Mahasamund, 40 in Gariaband, 160 in Bilaspur, 31 in Mungeli, 6 in Pendra, 69 in Sarguja, 40 in Koriya, 50 in Surajpur, 7 in Balrampur, 12 in Jashpur, 102 in Bastar, 77 in Kondagaon, 63 in Dantewada, 34 in Sukma, 71 in Kanker, 7 in Narayanpur and 32 in Bijapur. Four patients have come from other states. Process of their hospitalization is underway. Meanwhile, 272 patients who were undergoing treatment in various hospitals have recovered and they have returned to their homes. Five Coronavirus positive patients including 4 with co-morbidities died in various hospitals. Total 174591 samples have so far tested positive for Coronavirus. At present, 23899 active Coronavirus positive patients are under treatment in various hospitals. Total 1793 Coronavirus positive patients have died in the state.
