Chhattisgarh Agriculture Minister suffers heart attack, admitted in PGI Lucknow

Raipur, Apr 27 (UNI) Chhattisgarh Agriculture Minister Ravindra Choubey suffered a heart attack during the campaign for Lok Sabha elections in Uttar Pradesh.
Initially, he was rushed to a private hospital but later in the evening he was admitted in PGI Lucknow for better treatment.
Chhattisgarh Pradesh Congress General Secretary and Communication Department head Shailesh Nitin Trivedi said here in the evening today that condition of Agriculture Minister Choubey was currently stable. Choubey is conscious now with the effect of medicines and best wishes.
Congress president Rahul Gandhi phoned Ravindra Choubey's son Ashutosh Choubey to inquire about his health and wished for his early recovery.
Trivedi said that after addressing an election rally in Raebareli Choubey stayed in a hotel in Lucknow where he suffered heart attack in early Saturday morning. Choubey was initially rushed to Sahara Hospital. Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel reached the hospital in the morning to inquire about his well-being.
Trivedi said that Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel was about to come to Raipur in the evening today after addressing a public rally in Ranchi, Jharkhand but his programme to come back to Raipur was cancelled in view of Choubey's deteriorating health condition. Instead of coming to Raipur Baghel left for Lucknow directly from Ranchi.
