Chhattisgarh: 6 officials suspended over poor construction of expressway

Raipur, Feb 26 (UNI) Public Works Department Minister on Wednesday instructed for suspension of half a dozen officers over the issue of substandard quality of expressway constructed from Raipur Junction to Kendri.
In response to a question in the Chhattisgarh State Legislative Assembly, the PWD Minister Tamradhwaj Sahu blamed some officials for poor construction of the expressway and ordered for their suspension with immediate effect.
Raising the issue of substandard construction of expressway the JCC MLA Dharmajit Singh questioned government's works. "People are unable to utilise expressway even as it was constructed at crores of rupees," he said.
