Chennithala alleges Govt spends public money to protect political killers

Thiruvananthapuram, Dec 1 (UNI) Opposition leader in Kerala Assembly Ramesh Chennithala on Tuesday alleged that CPI(M)-led Left Government had spent a huge amount of public money to protect killers of two Youth Congress activists.
Reacting to the Supreme Court dismissing the State Government's plea against a CBI probe into the Periya double murder case, the Opposition leader said the two Youth Congress workers were murdered by CPI(M) men on February 17, 2019.
"The ruling Left Govt had spent a huge amount of public money to save the murderers. Now, the Hon Supreme Court has rejected the appeal by the Govt against CBI probe ordered by High Court. The CPI(M) should stop political murders," he added.
