Chapter on Goa Opinion Poll should be included in school history books: Vijay Sardessai

Panaji, Jan 5 (UNI) Goa Minister for Archives and Archaeology Vijay Sardessai on Friday demanded that a chapter on opinion poll be added to the school syllabus so that students were aware of the historic day.
Addressing a press conference at the party state headquarter in the city, he said, "We will demand that Opinion poll will be part of (school) curriculum and modern Goan history should go up to Goa gaining statehood. When Goa became a state, its history became stable. Before that it was a state of flux."
Mr Sardessai said successive governments had ignored the iconic event which had laid the foundation of contemporary Goan identity.
