Channi govt will make weak case to arrest Majithia, alleges Raghav Chadha

Chandigarh, Dec 8 (UNI) After the High Court slammed the Punjab government on Monday in much-discussed drugs case, senior Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader and Punjab co-in-charge Raghav Chadha on Wednesday claimed that Chief Minister Charanjit Singh Channi and Akali Dal chief Sukhbir Badal are partners and said the two leaders have made a deal to save Akali leader Bikram Singh Majithia in the drugs case.
Addressing the media here, Chadha accused Chief Minister Channi of having a secret meeting with Sukhbir Singh Badal at a farm house after the Punjab government was reprimanded by the High Court in the case. During the meeting, a deal was reached between the two leaders that the Channi government would arrest senior leader of Akali Dal Bikram Singh Majithia, by making a very weak case, so that he could get bail from the court the very next day.
He said that this information has been given to us by a senior Punjab police officer.
