Chandigarh to organise newly-wed competition during Rose Festival

Chandigarh, Feb 13 (UNI) The Municipal Corporation of Chandigarh on Tuesday decided to organise a couple competition for the newly-weds, titled 'Hum Tum,' during this year's Rose Festival, starting from February 16 to 21.
A preliminary meeting regarding the arrangements and prizes to be given to the winners was held here under the Chairmanship of MCC Joint Commissioner Tejdeep Singh Saini, attended by other members of the committee.
The meeting decided to give away that prizes to the winners, 1st Runners up and 2nd Runners up couple during the event, to be held on February 24.
In addition, surprise gifts will be given to all the participants. The competition, having several rounds, will be judged by prominent personalities from the field of Fashion, Theatre and Sports, a statement said here.

The couples married between February 1, 2017 to February 1, 2018 can participate in this event, to be held at Rose Garden in Sector 16, here, the statement added. UNI JS RJ 1846
