Chandigarh Mayor for better reforms in solid waste management system

Chandigarh, Dec 22 (UNI) Mayor of Chandigarh Davesh Moudgil said here on Saturday that urban local bodies should always have an option of introducing better reforms in existing solid waste management system.
Addressing all the stakeholders of Chandigarh in Punjab Municipal Bhawan, Sector 35-A during a one-day workshop on 'Solid Waste Management,' organised by the Municipal Corporation of Chandigarh, Mr Moudgil said the star rating of garbage-free city would create a healthy competition among cities across the country
Stating that MCC will put all possible efforts to make the city No 1 in the ensuing Swachh Survekshan, the Mayor said MCC has opted four tyre system to create mass awareness and take along the citizens, to take lead in this mega exam of Swachhata.
