Chandigarh Lawn Tennis Assn to organise CLTA-AITA CS from Oct 9

Chandigarh, Oct 6 (UNI) The Chandigarh Lawn Tennis Association is organising “The Tribune” State Tennis Championships (Men and Women) and “The Tribune” CLTA-AITA Championship Series (CS-7) Tennis Tournament for Boys and Girls under-14 from October 9 to 13.

The state championship carries a cash prize of Rs three lakh.

The qualifying matches of both events will be played on October 7 and 8 at Sector 10 Tennis Stadium.

The response for the sign-in has been very good. As many as 189 players have signed-in for the qualifying of Chandigarh State Championships and 46 players have signed-in for the qualifying event of CLTA-AITA Championship Series (CS-7).
The entries of men and women events and boys and girls under-14 are 138, 51, 37, and 9 respectively. Players from different parts of India are taking part in these prestigious tournaments.

The main draw matches of both events will start at 0830 hrs on October 9.
