Chandigarh Girls Hockey Academy and Rock Rovers in final

Chandigarh, Sep 30 (UNI) Chandigarh Girls Hockey Academy will meet Rock Rovers Club in the final of the Chandigarh State Senior Women Hockey Championship at the Sector 42 Hockey Stadium here on Tuesday. In the semi-finals played on Monday, CGHA defeated MCM College for Women, Sector 36 by 6-3 while Rock Rovers defeated Guru Gobind Singh College for Women, Sector 26 by 5-2.
Going on offensive from the start, Chandigarh Girls Hockey Academy put themselves in a comfortable position by scoring in the second minute through Dhapa who against struck in the 9th minute to put her team ahead with a 2-0 margin.
Preeti made it 3-0 with field goal in the 27th minute. MCM College for Women opened their account in the 29th minute through Monika. Barlja (32nd), Preeti (49th) and Dhapa (59) struck one more goal each for their team to register win and place them into final.
