Challenge Cup: Baichung Bhutia FA thrash Fatehgarh Sahib Academy 10-0

Chandigarh, Sep 25 (UNI) Baichung Bhutia Football Academy, New Delhi thrashed Cordia Southhall Football Academy of Fatehgarh Sahib by 10-0 in the Group A league match of the 17th edition of the annual Administrator’s Challenge Cup All India Football Tournament U-14 (Boys) at Sports Complex, Sector-42, here on Wednesday.
Baichung Bhutia Football Academy dominated right from the start of the match. The fine knitted teamwork alongwith with better football skills and motivated. Kennedy of Baichung Bhutia Football Academy scored four goals in a row in 17th, 19th, 24th and 34th minutes of the match.
Sahil contributed three goals in 2nd, 68th and 73rd minutes and Nangrim, Michael & Vivek scored one each goals in 38th, 40th and 42nd minutes living no chance for the opponents to strike back. Most of the attacks were made by the Baichung Bhutia Academy from left wing.
The Group-B league match between SAG, Football Academy, Gujrat and Football School of India, Mumbai fizzled out in a 1-1 draw. Both teams played on a sluggish note and they were judging each other strength. In between, Ved from Gujrat scored a goal with long kick in the 8th minute of the game.
Retaliating in the same pace Master J Vinat of Mumbai penetrated in the defence of Gujrat and lobbed the ball into the opponents goal-post in the 12th minute. Thereafter, both the teams were kicking the aimlessly and the match ended with 1-1 draw.
In an another match, Dullajan Football Coaching Centre, Assam blanked Chandigarh Football Association by 4-0 in a Group D league outing.
Both teams displayed their skills in a balanced manner sensing each other strategy, but speedy Assam mail suddenly attacked from the left and took the lead by 2 – 0 in the 1st half. The goals were scored by Kapil and Mayukh Gogoi in the 5th and 40th minutes, respectively.
After the lemon break two more goals were pumped into the opponents' goal post by Kapil Baruch and Nyomi Nyodna in the 77th and 79th minutes, respectively, to seal the game.
In the second half, Chandigarh Football Association team lackedmatch experience and were outplayed in all departments of the game.
