CGST target of Rs 18000 crore may be overachieved for West Bengal for FY 19:Official

Kolkata, Feb 15(UNI) The GST revenue target of Rs 18,000 crore for assessees allotted to Central government in West Bengal may be over achieved for the current financial year, a senior official of CGST &CX (South) said here today.
Speaking to the reporters on the sidelines of a seminar on the contentious issues of GST at the Bengal Chamber, Pandiayaraj GV, Assistant Commissioner of CGST &CX (South) said revenue collection of Rs 12,000 crore has been made till December 2018.
"We have achieved 68 per cent of our target, and we are hopeful that we may cross it," he said.
