Centre not given consent for setting up of 3 capitals in AP : Deodhar

Vijayawada/New Delhi, Jan 23 (UNI) Andhra Pradesh BJP affairs in-charge Sunil Deodhar made it clear that the YSRCP government’s three capitals concept in the state did not have the consent of the Central government.
BJP and its ally Janasena Party (JSP) leaders including JSP president K Pawan Kalyan, N Manohar, BJP MP GVL Narasimha Rao, Sunil Deodhar, D Purandeswari and other leaders met BJP National President J P Nadda in New Delhi on Thursday.
Later talking to media, Mr Deodhar said that the Centre was unaware of AP government’s proposal of establishing three capitals rendering present capital city Amaravati a mere legislative capital.
“We apprised Mr Nadda about the political situation in the state and how the BJP-JSP alliance is marching ahead in the State” he said.
Mr.Sunil Deodhar said “I have information that neither Prime Minister Narendra Modi nor Home Minister Amit Shah had extended any kind of consent to the three capitals concept. The Central leaders denied that the YSRCP leaders had discussed with them about the setting up of three capitals”.
Mr Deodhar accused the YSRCP leaders of spreading lies that they had taken consent from the Central government for the setting up of three capitals. “Do not fall into the trap of YSRCP by trusting their statements”, he urged people, stating that Chief Minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy is also spreading lies.
The BJP leader predicted that the efforts to set up three capitals would create a 'backlash' in the State. ‘’We will fight against the anti-people policies of YSRCP government in AP. Both the YSRCP and TDP are equally enemy parties for BJP and Janasena'', he said.
Mr Pawan Kalyan said that the BJP-JSP alliance would strive to do justice to the farmers in the capital region area, who have been agitating for the last 37 days opposing the shifting of administrative capital city from Amaravati to Visakhapatnam.
Mr Kalyan said that he met Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman on Wednesday and discussed various issues.
Meanwhile, BJP leaders in Vijayawada said that the BJP-JSP would take out a massive rally on February 2 opposing the shifting of Administrative capital city from Amaravati to Visakhapatnam.
