Centre denies any move to impose Hindi on Non-Hindi speaking states

New Delhi, Apr 25 (UNI) The Centre today strongly denied that it was trying to impose Hindi, saying that some recent media reports claiming that delivering speeches by MPS and Ministers in the language had been made mandatory were based on wrong interpretation of a Parliamentary Committee report.

The Centre’s statement came in the wake of strong opposition expressed by DMK leader MK Stalin to what he called imposition of Hindi on non-Hindi speaking states by the Narendra Modi government.
