CDF misused: alleges J&K Panthers Party

Jammu, Aug 18 (UNI) Lambasting the government for its flip-flop over the use of Constituency Development Fund by the suspended members of Assembly, Jammu and Kashmir National Panthers Party Chairman and former minister Harsh Dev Singh on Saturday accused the Governor’s administration of allegedly bowing to the blackmail and pressure tactics of the vested political interests.
“While an absolute direction had been issued earlier by the government to all District Development Commissioners not to release CDF in respect of works identified by MLAs after June 19, it was extremely shocking to find government withdrawing its earlier order without giving any cogent and justifiable reason,” Mr Singh said here on Saturday.
He said that all DDCs had been instructed not to entertain any request for the release of CDF after the suspension of Assembly on June 19. “The order also directed the DDCs that they shall devise a fool proof mechanism to ensure that no back dated authorisations are received after the issuance of proclamation by Governor for suspending the Assembly” he further added.
