CCL eyes 100 MT of coal production in next two years

Ranchi, Jan 1 (UNI) The Central Coal Fields is working to achieve 100 million tons of coal production in the next two years.
Addressing a press conference here, CCL Chairman cum CMD Gopal Singh said in the first three quarters of this fiscal, the overall production has been 41.65 MT which is an average growth of 12 per cent across the three sectors while December 2018 has itself been a historic month as coal production jumped by 17.7 per cent.
“However all the coal production in Coal India has not been so good barring CCL which has been made possible only by the cooperation of all the stakeholders involved,” he said adding that there was a time when the production of the company hanged around 45 to 48 MT tons per year and there was also a time in 2012 when it was staring a closure. However things have swiftly made a change around and CCL was scaling new heights with each passing year.
