CBI should dig deep into Roshni scheme, retrieve land from powerful people: Apni Party

Srinagar, Nov 25 (UNI) Asserting that CBI should dig deep into the Roshni scheme in J&K, senior Apni Party leader and former minister Mohammad Dilawar Mir on Wednesday said that the government land should be retrieved from powerful politicians, bureaucrats and businessmen.
“The probe in Roshni scheme should be taken to its logical conclusion and no illegal beneficiaries irrespective of their power and positions should be left out without scrutiny under any circumstances,” he said.
However, Mir said that the genuine beneficiaries of this scheme who have benefitted by exchanging their proprietary land or by paying the government notified rates to the State exchequer for their small landholdings should not face any kind of inconvenience or harassment under the garb of investigations.
