CBI investigating mega bank fraud in HP

Shimla, Oct 19 (UNI) The Central Bureau of Investigation is currently investigating an alleged mega bank fraud belonging to two manufacturers at Baddi industrial area of Solan district, availing credits worth Rs 22 crore based on exorbitant collateral from a Branch of Andhra Bank here in 2017.
In July of this year, the Agency booked the firms for allegedly hatching conspiracy and cheating and other suspected offences under Sections 120B and 420 of IPC and relevant sections of the Prevention of Corruption Act.
Against an outstanding amount of over Rs 28 crore (including interest), a mere Rs 1,854 was recovered
