CBI files FIR against IAS officers

Puducherry, Sept 20 (UNI) The CBI today filed FIR against two IAS officers and 11 others here including government and private medical college authorities in the alleged PG medical admission scam.

The two IAS officers booked are B R Babu former Health secretary of the Puducherry administration and Narendra Kumar,chairman of the Centralised Admission Committee(CENTAC).

Lucknow, April 19 (UNI) Approximately 12.66 per cent of 1.44 crore voters polled their votes in two hours across eight parliamentary constituencies in the first phase of Lok Sabha elections in Uttar Pradesh till 9 am, as per polling officials.

Itanagar, April 19 (UNI) Around 9 per cent of 8.9 crore Arunachal Pradesh voters cast their votes in the first two hours till 9 am in simultaneous elections being held in the state for choosing the 18th Lok Sabha and the 11th State Legislative Assembly, a senior election official said.
