New Delhi, Dec 2 (UNI) The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) registered a case against an assistant, K Vasanth Kumar, of Employees’ State Insurance Corporation (ESIC) Hospital at Peenya in Bangalore and others in connection with misappropriated the benefit payments of Rs 96.43 lakh from ESIC branch office, said the agency on Thursday.
According to the CBI, the case was lodged on the basis of a complaint received from the ESIC department.
It stated that Kumar, when he was posted at ESIC branch office in Bommasandra during the period January 29, 2016 to September 17, 2019, had connived with others and allegedly misappropriated the benefit payments from branch offices of Rs 96.43 lakh, said CBI.
