CBI defends demand to seek custody of Chidambaram

New Delhi, Aug 22 (UNI) The CBI on Thursdsy defended its demand for judicial custody of senior Congress leader and former Union minister P Chidambaram,arguing that he had not cooperated in the ivestigation in the INX media case.

Agency sources said that in course of his questioning, after his arrest from his residence on Wednesday night, Chidambaram did not cooperate with the investigation and gave evasive replies on many crucial questions. which were placed before him by the Iinvestigating Officer.
