Muzaffarpur, May 22 (UNI) Special CBI court issued production warrant against RJD strongman and former MP Mohammed Shahabuddin here today in connection with the infamous senior journalist Rajdeo Ranjan murder case. Accepting the petition of CBI Deputy Police Superintendent Sunil Singh Rawat, the special CBI court issued production warrant against Shahabuddin, presently lodged in high security Tihar Jail in New Delhi. Mr Shahabuddin would appear before the Special CBI court in Muzaffarpur through video conferencing from June 1 onwards. Rajdeo Ranjan, the bureau chief of a leading Hindi daily was shot dead in Siwan in May 13 last allegedly at the behest of Shahabuddin. The key accused in the scribe murder case, Laddan Mian is a close aide of RJD strongman and is presently behind bars. UNI DH SJC
