New Delhi, Dec 1 (UNI) The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) on Wednesday arrested a Branch Manager of Prathma UP Gramin Bank in Uttar Pradesh’s Moradabad and a person for allegedly accepting a bribe from the complainant, the agency said.
A case was registered on the basis of a complaint against the Branch Manager of Moradabad, and a person on the allegations of demanding the bribe of Rs 8000 from the complainant in lieu of releasing Kisan Credit Card Loan of Rs 3 lakh.
CBI laid a trap and caught the accused while accepting the bribe. Searches were conducted at the premises of the accused, including at Rampur, Bareilly and Moradabad, which led to recovery of documents.
Both were produced in the Court in Ghaziabad today, said CBI.
