CARE Hospitals Electrophysiologists team implant India’s first Entrant CRT-D device on patient

Hyderabad, Oct 20 (UNI) A team of Electrophysiologists led by Dr Ashutosh at Care Hospitals in the city have successfully implanted India’s first Entrant Cardiac Resynchronization Therapy Defibrillator (CRT-D) device on a 43-year-old patient, an IT consultant, which brings the most advanced heart rhythm management capabilities along with remote monitoring.
A CRT-D is a special device for heart failure patients who are also at high risk for sudden cardiac death.
The device will offer Bluetooth connectivity to a patient’s smart phone app for improved remote monitoring and patient/physician engagement.
