Carcasses of 293 migratory birds recovered from Pong Dam WLS

Shimla, Jan 8 (UNI) The carcasses of 293 migratory birds were recovered from Pong Dam Wildlife Sanctuary in Kangra district on Friday, suspected to have died of Bird Flu.
Principal Conservator of Forest (Wildlife) Chief Wildlife Warden Archana Sharma said that till Friday, as many as 3702 birds carcasses have been recovered of various species from Pong Dam WLS, as the 10 rapid response teams were working for collection and safe disposal of dead birds, as per the protocol.
