Capt govt ‘admits’ to shoddy distribution of ration to poor amid pandemic: Cheema

Chandigarh, July 11 (UNI) Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) Punjab senior leader and Leader of Opposition Harpal Singh Cheema said that the Captain govt had finally conceded to the shoddy distribution of rations by Punjab government to the needy families during the Corona virus epidemic. Cheema said the govt had admitted in principal irregularities in the distribution of ration to the poor by appointing top officials of the Food and Supplies Department to investigate into the matter, had put a stamp authenticity on the Aam Aadmi Party's standpoint on the allegations.

In a statement issued from party headquarters on Saturday, Harpal Singh Cheema said that the AAP had been constantly raising its voice against the scams from time to time. The party had even staged protests at the district level and handed over memorandums to the government through the Deputy Commissioners.
