Capt Amarinder blames Badal for misappropriation of Rs 12,000 cr from CCL

Chandigarh, Jun 24 (UNI) Punjab Pradesh Congress Committee president Capt Amarinder Singh today said Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal was trying to hush up the matter of the misappropriation of Rs 12,000 crore meant for the procurement.
Capt Singh also reiterated that Mr Badal had no moral authority to blame the Congress for the SYL as it was he (Badal) who had accepted Rs 2 crore from his Haryana counterpart, Devi Lal in 1978 for the construction of the SYL canal, by giving precedence to personal relations over the Punjab’s interests as he considered Devi Lal to be his “elder brother”.
In a statement issued here, Capt Singh said, it was not for the first time that he (Badal) had misappropriated money meant for the procurement as during his previous tenure between 1997 and 2002 he had also done the same thing and misappropriated Rs 4,700 crore in a similar manner.
