Kakinada, Sep 19 (UNI) Even after five-days of intensive rescue operations, the ill-fated launch Royal Vasista could not be salvaged which was located at a depth of 320 feet in river Godavari at Kachumarri-Mandam in Devipatnam mandal and many more bodies are feared trapped in it.
The rescue teams so far recovered 34 bodies and with the relatives of coming out with fresh claims with proofs on Thursday, the number of missing tourists in the boat tragedy has gone up to 18.
Though two bodies were found at Yanam- Yedurulanka stretch 80kms downstream in the morning, the officials are not able to ascertain whether they were of the boat tragedy victims.
