Candidate and one other shot dead, criminal lynched

Sheohar, Oct 24 (UNI) Janata Dal Rastrawadi candidate Srinarain Singh of Sheohar Assembly seat and his supporter were shot dead by criminals while he was campaigning at Hathsar village under Purnahiya police station area and one of the criminals was lynched in Sheohar district today.
Sub Divisional Police Officer (SDPO) Rakes Kumar said here that four motorcycle-borne criminals opened fire on Srinarain Singh and his supporters, while he was campaigning at Hathsar village. Singh and two others had sustained bullet injuries in the incident, he added.
"All the injured were admitted to Sadar hospital from where they were taken to a private nursing home in Sitamarhi for better treatment," Mr Kumar said adding that Mr Singh was declared brought dead by doctor of nursing home while one of the injured died during treatment and other was being treated there.
