Canadian minister inaugurates new Trade Office 'Commercial du Canada' in Kolkata

Kolkata, Feb 19(UNI) Canada’s Infrastructure and Communities Minister Amarjeet Sohi formally inaugurated the new office premises of the Trade Office of Canada Bureau 'Commercial du Canada' at New Kenilworth Hotel in Kolkata.
Mr. Sohi, a Punjabi-Canadian politician and a minister in the federal Cabinet, headed by Justin Trudeau hoped that the bilateral trade relationship between India and Canada which was approximately 10 billion Canadian dollars would further multiply.
"As our trade relationship is increasing in a good way we also want to share bilateral investment opportunities," he added.
As per Sohi, more or less 1000 companies from Canada were doing trade in India and some Indian companies were also doing business in Canada.
He also pointed the increasing number of Indian students studying in Canada to indicate the strong ties between the two countries.
