Call 1076 for AAP govt services at your doorstep

New Delhi, Sep 10 (UNI) With the launch of AAP government’s doorstep delivery of 40 services on Monday, Delhiites can call 1076 to avail these facilities, including registration of marriage, at their doorstep.
Calling it a new era in governance in Delhi, Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Monday launched the doorstep delivery in the presence of his Cabinet ministers and all senior officers of the Government here at the Secretariat.
Speaking on the occasion, Mr Kejriwal said, “The Government machinery is undergoing a revolutionary change. This day is not historic merely for Delhi, I feel we are doing a unique experiment which will be followed at the international level. From today, people of Delhi will have the government at their doorsteps through a phone call.”
“Today, we are beginning with 40 services. The Government will add 30 more soon. The number of services which Government will ultimately provide will be 100 within next three months,” the Chief Minister stated.
Later, the Chief Minister in a series of tweets said, "We have to change the way we r being governed. The entire administration and governance needs complete overhaul. It needs to become citizen centric."
"I hope we will be able to overcome all hurdles and soon home delivery of ration will also become a reality," he said.
Delhi Administrative Reforms Minister Kailash Gahlot, who was also present, appreciated the efforts of his Department and lauded the team for working day and night to implement the scheme.
Mr Gahlot said the Department overcame numerous hurdles in its way, since this was a new concept and required innovation and many unique experiments for its success.
The service provider company VFS Global representatives thanked the Delhi government for giving them an opportunity to work on this ambitious project.
The ruling AAP government also claimed that doorstep delivery of Government services is the first of its kind initiative, across the globe.
The 40 services fall under the departments of Revenue, Social Welfare, Transport, Delhi Jal Board (DJB), Food and Civil Supplies, Labour and Department for the welfare of SC/ST/OBC/Minorities.
The services available at the doorstep of the citizens under the Revenue department include registration of marriage, issuance of caste certificate (SC/ST/OBC), domicile certificate, income certificate, delayed birth/death order, Land status report, Lal Dora Certificate, and permanent ID card to disabled person.
In the Social Welfare Department, the doorstep services available are Delhi Family benefit scheme, Handicap pension scheme and grievance of old age pension scheme.
Under Transport Department, services like duplicate RC certificate, change of address in RC, transfer of ownership, permanent driving licence, renewal of driving licence and change of address have been included.
New water/sewer connection and disconnection are available at doorstep under Delhi Jal Board while in Food and Civil Supplies Department citizens the facilities includes issuance of priority household card, updation of member details in the AAY/ priority household card.
Under Labour Department, one can get approval of installation of passenger lift, lift shaft and machine room, and matters falling under the Delhi Shops and Establishment Act, 1954.
The facilities under Department for the Welfare of SC/ST/OBC/Minorities include reimbursement of tuition fee for the students and financial assistance for the purchase of stationery.
The procedure to avail doorstep delivery is that applicants will first call on the number 1076. The call centre will then inform the applicant about the services available. The applicant will be told about the documents required for a particular certificate to be made.
For this purpose, the applicant can fix an appointment anytime between 8 AM (0800 hrs) to 10 PM (2200 hrs). Then, a mobile sahayak will visit the applicant’s home on the time fixed for appointment.
The, mobile sahayak will scan the concerned documents in presence of the applicant and will provide an e-receipt of fees paid for the service (Rs 50). Once the application is complete it will be electronically transferred to the government office concerned.
At every stage the applicant will get an SMS – from the time the request was generated to the delivery of the certificate. Delivery of the certificate will be ensured within the stipulated time-frame either by post or by the mobile sahayak.
After the successful delivery of the certificate, the applicant will get a feedback call to share his/her experience.
