Calicut Intl Airport categorised as risky airport about two decades ago

Kozhikode, Aug 7 (UNI) The table-top Airport of Calicut International Airport, better known as CCJ among the airport circles, have since its commissioning been categorised as a risky airport, thanks to its geographical positioning.
According to sources close to the airport officials said that the airport was marked as a high risk Airport by the DGCA for its geographical location on the top of a hill.
The Airport was identified as one of the eleven risky airports for airline operations in the country post the flight accident occurred in Mangalore Airport in 2010 that claimed 158 lives.
