Calcutta High Court asks Salt Lake chairperson to file affidavit

Kolkata, Jul 16(UNI) Calcutta High Court today asked Salt Lake municipality chairman to file an affidavit by tomorrow on documents relating to no-trust motion in the municipality due on Thursday.
Justice Samapti Chatterjee, who took up the lawsuit against no-trust motion, also said that the court was considering to allow councilors of the municipality to be party to the case, if they wanted to.
The court on Monday admitted a lawsuit filed by the Salt Lake mayor Sabyasachi Dutta challenging a notification on no-confidence motion against him.
