Dharmasthala, Karnataka, May 22 (UNI) Designated Karnataka Chief Minister H D Kumaraswamy on Tuesday said that the issue of Cabinet formation not yet discussed with the Congress and a final picture may emerge by evening.
Speaking to newsmen after offering special prayer at Sri Manjunatheshwara temple, he also clarified that Cabinet Ministers including Deputy Chief Minister post will be discussed with Congress party leaders and decision will be taken after taking into confidence the Legislators of both the parties.
Underlining that the main aim of the alliance was to provide a stable government for five years, he said that interests of the people of the State and farmers will be safeguarded.
Mr Kumaraswamy said that there will be a stable government for the next five years and his government would introduce welfare programmes without burdening the common people with additional taxes.
Taking a dig at the proposed government being called an unholy alliance, he said there was no such thing as holy or unholy in politics. The government would survive if it had the required number of legislators.
On loan waiver to the farmers, he said he had promised in party manifesto when it comes to power on its own, however, he will take serious steps to safeguard the farmers interests by taking steps after taking into confidence the alliance partner.
He said that steps will be taken to resolve early the Yettinahole river water diversion project.
Referring to incidents of clashes in coastal Karnataka, Mr Kumaraswamy said minor incidents were leading into clashes, which was not good for society. Appealing the youths to focus on their future instead of getting involved in clashes, Mr Kumaraswamy said, adding that if they had any problem, they could contact him directly.
Earlier, Mr Kumaraswamy, who arrived in Dharmasthala by a helicopter, was welcomed by Dharmadhikari D Veerendra Heggade before he and his wife Anitha Kumaraswamy had a darshan of Lord Manjunatheshwara.
Later, Mr Kumarawamy offered pooja at Srigneri temple with family members including his father and former Prime Minister H D Devegowda.
