CAA: Delhi High Court asks authorities to look into closure of Kalindi Kunj-Shaheen Bagh stretch

New Delhi, Jan 14 (UNI) Delhi High Court, on Tuesday, heard a plea seeking to withdraw closure of Kalindi Kunj-Shaheen Bagh stretch which was shut on December 15, last year, in connection with protests against Citizenship (Amendment) Act to provide shelter to non-Muslims fleeing religious persecution in Afghanistan, Pakistan and Bangladesh.
A division bench of Chief Justice DN Patel and Justice Hari Shankar directed police to look into the matter in accordance with law in larger public interest keeping in mind the permissions granted to the protestors.
It asked the authority concerned to keep in view larger public interest by maintaining law and order.
