New Delhi, Jan 18 (UNI) Justice Navin Chawla of the Delhi High Court on Friday, after considering the plea on behalf of a Welfare Association, directed the police to look into the blockage of Kalindi Kunj road due to the protest at Shaheen Bagh in connection with Citizenship (Amendment) Act .
The court direction came after considering the representation of the Association that those students who have to travel to schools and also have the board examinations impending are facing difficulties due to ongoing protests against the CAA.
Counsel for Federation of Sarita Vihar Residents Welfare Association submitted that the Board exams for Class 10 and 12 are fast approaching in February and March and pre board tests are also set to take place shortly. There are, counsel asserted, many students who are facing difficulties as the Kalindi Kunj-Shaheen Bagh has been closed since December 15 last due to the agitation.
He further submitted that the closure of Road No:13 A and massive traffic snarls on Mathura Road will prevent the students from reaching their schools on time, jeopardising their careers.
