Samastipur, Oct 24 (UNI) After defeat of JD (U) on three out of four seats it contested in by-elections, Lok Janshakti Party (LJP) parliamentary board chairman Chirag Paswan today said that the results of by-elections would make no impact on NDA and asserted that JD (U) president Nitish Kumar would be the chief ministerial candidate in 2020 state assembly election.
Talking to newspersons after his cousin and LJP candidate Prince Raj emerged victorious from Samastipur Lok Sabha constituency, Mr Paswan said that it was disappointing that NDA bagged less than expected seats and it would be reviewed why it happened so. Next state assembly election would be fought under the leadership of Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, he added.
