Changzhou, Sep 19 (UNI) Reigning world champion PV Sindhu crashed out of the China Open Super 1000 tournament after going down to Thailand’s Pornpawee Chochuwong in the women’s singles pre-quarterfinals, here on Thursday.
Sindhu lost to Thailand’s Pornpawee Chochuwong 21-12, 13-21, 19-21 in a a thrilling contest which lasted for more than 50 minutes.
India's top shuttler started off strongly and won the first game confidently by 21-12. However, Chochuwong hit some powerful smashes to turn tables and forced the decider by winning the second game.
