The sectoral indices led by Metal, Materials, Energy, Finance,
Health Care, Industrials, Telecom and Utilities slipped by up to
3.05 per cent.
Metal scrips that plunged. Among them were Tata Steel, Jindal Steel,
, Steel Authority of India, Vedanta, Hindalco Industries, Hindustan
Copper, National Aluminium Company and NMDC, slumping by up to 5.73
pc.
PSU bank stocks also fell. Among them were Allahabad Bank, IDBI
Bank, SBI, Bank of Baroda, Bank of Maharashtra, United Bank of
India, Punjab & Sind Bank and Central Bank, dropping by up to 3.24
pc.
