Reliance Industries (RIL) lost 2.2 pc. The company declared Q3 result after market hours on October 17, 2018. RIL's consolidated net profit rose 17.9 percent to Rs 9549 crore on 54.11 percent rise in total income to Rs 144574 crore in Q2 September 2018 over Q2 September 2017.

IT major Infosys rose 0.52 pc The company announced its consolidated results under International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) after market hours on 16 October 2018. On a consolidated basis, net profit rose 13.80 pc to Rs 4110 crore on 7.7 pc increase in revenues to Rs 20609 crore in Q2 September 2018 over Q1 June 2018.
ICICI Bank fell 1.22 pc. The bank announced that the Reserve bank of India (RBI) has approved the appointment of Sandeep Bakhshi as managing director & CEO of the bank for a period of three years with effect from 15 October 2018.

Shares of Hero MotoCorp fell 6.82 pc. Net profit of Hero MotoCorp declined 3.39 pc to Rs 976.28 crore on 8.59 pc rise in net sales to Rs 9090.94 crore in Q2 September 2018 over Q2 September 2017. The result was announced after market hours on October 16, 2018.
