Bus catches fire on Kolhapur-Gaganbawda national highway

Kolhapur, Sep 29 (UNI) A major fire broke out in a running bus at Shenvade village on Kolhapur-Gaganbawda national highway on Saturday.
The private bus en route from Mumbai to Gaganbawda reduced to ashes after the incident. However, all the 33 passengers in the bus are safe, police said. Short circuit was the reason behind the fire, they added.
While the bus reached Shenvade village in Gaganbawda Tehsil, driver Jamal Inamdar noticed a spark at the back side of the bus. Jamal evacuated all the passengers safely from the bus and informed the fire-brigade officials.
