Kolkata, Aug 9 (UNI) At least nine people were killed when an auto in which they were travelling was hit by a state government-owned bus in West Bengal's Birbhum district, police said on Tuesday.
The accident happened in Ranigunj-Morgram area of NH 60 under Rampurhat police station this afternoon when the victims, all male farmers, were returning home in a three-wheeler auto, which was involved in head-on-collision with a passenger bus on the highway.
All the victims, who died on the spot, were the residents of Rampurhat.
