Burglars rob jewellery worth Rs 30 lakh

Eluru, Aug 22 (UNI) Burglars gained entry into a Jewellery shop by making a hole to the wall and decamped with Rs15 lakh worth gold jewellery and silver ornaments at Appanaveedu village in Pedapadu mandal in West Godavari district.
According to police, Balanki Apparao was running Anjaneya Jewellery shop in Eluru Road of the village. The owners and workers locked the shop on Wednesday night at 2200 hrs (local time). Some burglars made a hole to the shop at the backside in the midnight and decamped with 250 grams of gold jewellery and 20 KGs of silver ornaments.

When Shop the owner opened the shop around 1000 hrs on Thursday, he found that his jewellery shop was robbed. He complained to the Pedapadu Police.
Eluru rural Circle Inspector Srinivasa Rao and Pedapadu Sub Inspector G Jyothi Basu visited the shop. Clues team collected the fingerprints in the shop. Pedapadu SI Jyothi Basu said that a case was registered and the stolen property worth Rs15 lakhs.

LED installation : 216 MU worth Rs 152 cr saved from July 2017-19

Hyderabad, Sep 18 (UNI) Telangana Municipal Administration and Urban Development Minister K T Rama Rao informed the Assembly on Wednesday that 4,32,901 conventional street lights were replaced with energy efficient LEDs in Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) area and saved 216 MU worth Rs 152 crore from July 2017 to July 2019.
