Bundelkhand MLA urges Rahul to 'disrupt' Parliament over farmers' issue

Lucknow, Jan 20 (UNI) Uttar Pradesh Congress MLA from Banda Vivek Kumar Singh has sent an open letter to party vice-president Rahul Gandhi demanding that Parliament be disrupted over the Bundelkhand issue where farmers are forced to commit suicide or eating 'grass chapatis' due to continuous drought like situation for the past three years.
Mr Singh, the Congress MLA from the Bundelkhand region, in his letter said when Parliament can be disrupted for mere political issue then why the members do not raise the miseries of the farmers of Bundelkhand and force the central government as well as the UP government to do something concrete.
In his two page letter addressed to party vice-president Rahul Gandhi, which has been released to the media here today, Mr Singh also demanded that Mr Gandhi should also call a meeting of the peoples' representatives from Bundelkhand to get to first hand information.
