All the bullion and jewellery shops in the Gujari market of the Kolhapur city remained closed today to extend their support to the national trade federation for promotion and growth of trade in Gems and Jewellery's call for a one-day 'bandh' to protest against the Centre's decision of making PAN card mandatory for purchase and sale of jewellery worth Rs two lakh and above, sources said. In other parts of the district including Hupari, Ajara, Radhanagari, Pattankodoli and Kagal, all shops remained closed to show their solidarity to the jewellers across the country.
