Building of tehsil office unsafe:PWD

Phagwara, July 15 (UNI) Public Works Department(PWD) Punjab have declared the building of Tehsil Office Phagwara as unsafe. An Official letter no 61 Dt 29 June 2016 was written by PWD SDO Phagwara Jatinder Kumar to Phagwara Sub Divisional Magistrate Phagwara Balbir Raj Singh in which PWD officer has requested SDM to instruct the concerned officers and staff to stop the use of unsafe Tehsil Office building to prevent any untoward incident.When contacted SDM Phagwara Balbir Raj Singh confirmed it and told this correspondent on Friday afternoon that he has forwarded the letter for required action to Deputy Commissioner Kapurthala and PWD has been asked to send fresh estimate for the construction of new building.
Meanwhile XEN PWD Varinder Kumar while confirming it told this correspondent here today that six more government buildings including of Stadium and Government Middle School Rampur Khalian,Govt Primary School School Nasirabad,Govt Elementary School Bhularai,Govt Sr Sec School(For Boys and Girls) had already been declared unsafe and the required steps were taken to inform the concerned authorities to stop the use of these unsafe buildings to prevent any mishap.
