Builder Krishna Gopalka receives Rs 10 cr extortion demand, death threats from Gangster

Ranchi, Sept 17 (UNI) A major case of extortion and criminal intimidation has come to light in the Jharkhand capital, where builder and financier Krishna Gopalka has reportedly received a demand of Rs 10 crore from gangster Prince Khan, along with serious death threats to him and his son.
According to police sources, Gopalka lodged a complaint at Lalpur police station after receiving repeated threats through WhatsApp video calls and messages.
The first incident occurred on September 14 around 2 pm, when a video call was received on his mobile phone from an unknown number (9163475471). The caller identified himself as gangster Prince Khan and threatened to kill Gopalka if he failed to pay the demanded amount.

Bhubaneswar, June 7 (UNI) Odisha Vigilance on Sunday arrested an engineer of the Integrated Tribal Development Agency (ITDA) after unearthing assets allegedly disproportionate to his known sources of income, including cash worth Rs 2.04 crore, officials said.
The accused, Baikuntha Nath Behera (52), Assistant Executive Engineer (AEE) with the ITDA at Baliguda in Kandhamal district, was arrested under the Prevention of Corruption Act and is being produced before the Special Vigilance Court in Bhubaneswar.

Arms, communication equipment recovered along Indo-Myanmar border
