Budget jugglery of figures; debt burden mount to whooping Rs 50000 cr: Dhumal

Shimla, Mar 9 (UNI) Leader of Opposition and former chief minister Prem Kumar Dhumal today termed the Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister's 19 budget as jugglery of figures which would mount up the burden of debt to whooping Rs 50,000 crore as it would be balanced with more borrowing.
Interacting with media persons after Mr Singh presented the state budget estimates for year 2016-17, Prof Dhumal said "despite the Chief Minister speaking for two-and-half-an hour but he did not mention a single initiative to generate resources."
He said the state had taken loans worth Rs 9000 crore in the current financial year moreover, the state had also proposed more borrowing which would mount the accumulated debt burden of Rs 50,000 crore.
